Hi! My mom has came on visit visa from india to dubai. She is quite old. Her visa is sponsored by my husband. Her visa will be expiring after few days. I heard about visa change by road i.e Hatta. Can my husband and my mom go directly to hatta border with new inbound visa by car. Or do we need any visa for oman ? We live in our respective nations and plan to meet on Kish Island, the free zone of Iran in the next month or two. I converted to Islam so that my marriage to her would be legal. Somebody recommended meeting and marrying in Turkey instead of Iran because it can be done in a week, but does anybody have an inspired and detailed answer? I want to marry her soon because of inter-country tensions and possible new immigration restrictions in the U.S, and I'm guessing the waiting period to process her visa will be close to a year on top of that. i'm planning to go to UAE thru a visit visa with my baby boy. as far as i know, when the visit visa expires, we have to go to kish island and go back to UAE for another visa.. is it OK to travel to Kish Island together with my 3-year old baby boy?what are other options?

CAIRO, Egypt — Iran has detained an Iranian-American consultant working for George Soros' Open Society Institute, the latest U.S. citizen connected to a non-governmental organization to be seized in the country, the institute said Wednesday. The detention of Kian Tajbakhsh comes amid a crackdown on NGOs at a time when Iranian authorities accuse the United States of using critics and dissidents to overthrow the country's difficult-line government. Tajbakhsh, an urban planning consultant who has also worked for the World Bank, was detained on or about May 11, the Open Society Institute — a private foundation that encourages democracy-building — said in a statement. "We are concerned for his safety and call for his immediate release," the statement said. It said the 45-year-old Tajbakhsh was working as a consultant for the insitute since 2004 "with the knowledge of the Iranian government." Iranian officials could not be reached to comment on the detention. I need help on this...big time. Here it goes. I am working for a tiny company here in Dubai UAE. When our employer applied for our employment visa, we had to give him our passport for the visa to be released. We got our visa but he has been keeping our passport. In our contract, it states there that we only have 5 work days in a week, but in reality, we work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. No relax day at every. After 9 months of surviving this very strenuous job, now I have no choice but to quit because if I dont, I think my body will eventually wear out because of the stress and fatigue. Problem is, I passed my resignation letter to my employer but he delays signing it. He is always stalling at this. When I tell him to sign my letter, he always tells me to help him find a good replacement for my position. And he also told me that he will just give my passport back to me on the day of my flight at the airport. Is this always the case? Why can't he give my passport back the day my employment visa is cancelled? I need my passport back on the day my visa is cancelled because I have another employer about to hire me and willing to pay for the labor ban that I will receive automatically (6 months ban). I dont want to go back to my country. I am thinking of just going for leave either to Kish Islands in Iran or to Oman so that I can quickly go back to Dubai and process my new employment. Any advice you can give on this is greatly appreciated as my mind is already going bonkers on this. Thanks.
I have. And it was in the most odd way possible. I mean it could have just been chance. But what are the odds? here is my story: When I was about 10 or 11 years old me and my family went to Kish; a very beautiful and fun vacation resort island in Iran. It was the third night i was there when by a skating/video game complex I saw a pal from school. We exchanged salams and he asked me which hotel we were staying in. And I told him and he said, 'oh really? I'm staying accross from there!" so we made a deal to look eachother the next day at noon. we decided to meet somewhere in the road. So the next day I got my plastic gun (the ones that shoot the tiny and round Yellow BB gun bullets) and brought it along for fun. As i was waiting for my pal in the road I got bored and shot every the plastic bullets from the gun. And there was a mosque close by so i went into the mosque and sat down on one of the stairs in the court yard. Being the young kid that i was I got unhappy because I ran out of the plastic ammo for my BB gun. And I thought, "I wish i had some more bullets God". And Wallahi my head wondered down by my feet by the stairs and I noticed about 20 to thirty little plastic things shaped like BB gun bullets, but I had never seen those nice because they were colored Green. So I put them in the gun and they worked perfectly. I didn't noticed what had happened, until years and years later. And now that I look back I think "it coulda just been chance". But then again what are the odds? to sit in a mosque and think "God I wish i had this" And right when you look down it's there by your feet? What are the odds that someone would leave a bunch of things at a stair in the courtyard of a mosque and i wonder there and sit there and wish i had that and look down and there it is? i'm an engineering graduate from the philippines. when i graduated ,i moved to abu dhabi uae with my family in hopes of having a better job and also to help them with financial aspects . Is Kish Airport just for "Indoor" flights in Iran and not international? We don't want to have to go to Tehran or Isfahan airport and then take off to Kish. Any idea`s?
